        Lowe’s Human Resources
HR, Human Relations, issues at Lowe’s seem almost insoluble.  Some examples:

          - The company claims to have an open door policy, but in fact, HR refuses to address corporate policy issues and refuses to identify HR management (eg. who does Ms. X report to?) when an issue arises that local HR is unable to resolve.
- Employees are asked to sign documents but employees are not allowed to have copies of documents that that they sign.
- Employees are asked to follow corporate rules but are not goven copies of the rules.  In fact, employees are not allowed to see copies of many of the rules.
- Employees are told that certain employees have been fired because of rule infractions, but have no idea what the rules are that have been violated (except by grapevine hearsay).
- The company has an ESOP, an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, where employees can buy company stock at a 15% discount.  It is an excellent program, but employees are required to waive their right to sue the custodian broker for malfeasance in order to join the program!
